Arkaroola Retreat Overnight Trip
Depart Broken Hill in the early afternoon and track south-west across Australia’s vast outback, taking in sweeping desert views before crossing Lake Frome, and the rugged Flinders Ranges before arriving at Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary. Guests have time to check in, relax, and explore the sanctuary at their own pace, with the option to book a range of experiences offered by the Sanctuary.
The following morning, depart Arkaroola for a spectacular return journey over the Flinders Ranges, before circling the iconic Wilpena Pound — a breathtaking natural Amphitheatre best appreciated from the air.

Birdsville Overnighter
Depart Broken Hill and fly over the vast red sands to Scarsdale Station for an authentic station Morning Tea, then fly on to Tibooburra. Trace the legendary path of explorers as you pass the historic Dig Tree before landing in iconic Birdsville for an overnight stay at the famous Birdsville Hotel.
The next morning, take to the skies following the winding Diamantina River as it transforms into the Warburton River. Marvel at the shimmering expanse of Lake Eyre, skirt its eastern edge, and fly past the incredible Marree Man geoglyph. Enjoy a short stop in Marree before returning to Broken Hill.

Lake Eyre Overnight Adventure
Extend your adventure with an overnight stay in William Creek, a remote outback town on the southwestern edge of Lake Eyre. Enjoy a true outback experience with meals, accommodation, and local character.
The next morning, we return to Broken Hill via Wilpena Pound, and over the incredible Painted Hills– a naturally colourful, rugged landscape on the world’s largest cattle station. These vivid, untouched formations are truly unforgettable.
Lake Eyre and Flinders Ranges Day Trip
Departing from Broken Hill Airport, we’ll fly over the stunning Strzelecki Desert, known for its endless red sand dunes. Our first highlight is Lake Frome, a salt lake located around 20 nautical miles east of the Flinders Ranges. You’ll witness its unique colours and formations from the air.
Next, we fly over the Flinders Ranges on our way to Leigh Creek, where we’ll stop for fuel and a short break. From there, we head to the Marree Man – one of the world’s largest geoglyphs, discovered in 1998 and stretching 2.7 km long with a 28 km perimeter.
We continue our journey along the eastern side of Lake Eyre, flying down to its southern end before heading toward Wilpena Pound – a natural amphitheatre in the Flinders Ranges, formed over millions of years. We then return to Broken Hill.
